Where is the Library?
The Library is located on your left as you come in the Main entrance.

Who can use the Library?
The Library is open to the general public. Materials can be borrowed by Manchester Community College, and Community College System of New Hampshire, students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Residents of Manchester can also borrow from the Library.

How can I borrow from the Library?
The first time you want to check out materials at the Library, you will need to fill out a Library Patron Form. Your information will be entered into the library database, and you will be able to check out materials.

For how long can I check out materials from the Library?
Books can be checked out for a period of three weeks, and can be renewed once for three more weeks. Videos/DVDs/CDs can be checked out for three days, and can be renewed once for three more days. Scientific Calculators can be checked out for one month, and can be renewed for a total of three times. Journals and Reference materials cannot be checked out.
Renewals can be done in person or by calling (603) 668-6706 ext 239.

What happens if I cannot return items on time?
The Library charges an overdue fine of 25 cents per item per day. The overdue fines are reported to the Bursar's Office and will result in a hold on your account if the charges are not paid.

Can I access the Library resources online?
The Library catalog provides information on books and audiovisual materials available at the libraries of the Community College System of New Hampshire. You can also access several journal and newspaper article databases, ebooks and medical reference sources online. The online subscription resources are password protected off campus. For remote access to databases, please contact the Library in person or request the passwords by sending an email to ManchesterLibrary@ccsnh.edu. In the email requesting passwords, be sure to include your full name, the class you are enrolled in and your instructor’s name.

The Library does not have items I need?
The Library can request items you need from another library through Interlibrary Loan. Contact a library staff in person or through email to submit your request.

Can I make photocopies at the Library?
The Library has a copier for student use. The coin-operated copier makes black and white copies at 10 cents per copy.

Can children come to the Library?
Children are allowed in the Library, but they must be supervised by an adult/guardian at all times. The Library has picture books appropriate for early childhood ages.
