Databases for Journal Articles

The Library offers various online databases for journal articles. The online databases available through the library can also be accessed remotely, but are password protected. For remote access to databases, please contact the library in person or request the passwords by sending an email to: ManchesterLibrary@ccsnh.edu. In the email requesting passwords, please be sure to include your full name, the class you are enrolled in and your instructor’s name.

EBSCOhost databases
EBSCOhost provides full text and bibliographic research databases for nearly all academic areas of study. It includes the world’s largest academic multidisciplinary database Academic Search Premier as well as several subject specific databases.

ebrary
ebrary is a growing e-book collection spanning all academic subject areas. There are more than 42,000 titles in the collection.

Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center
This database has primary source documents, statistics and images for a wide range of current topics and issues.

CREDOreference
CREDOreference enables users to find authoritative answers fast. It features content from hundreds of reference books in a broad range of subjects.

JSTOR
JSTOR archive holds the complete digitized back run of scholarly journals, starting in many cases with the first issue. The journals archived in JSTOR span many disciplines.

ProQuest Databases
ProQuest is organized into databases of related academic journals, newspapers, and magazines. It can be searched as a core set or as separate subject databases.

STATRef
This is comprehensive, cross-searchable resource of medical information for healthcare professionals.
