Handicapped Accessible

All buildings and facilities at MCC are handicap accessible. If you need assistance, please call (603) 668-6706 and speak with the Receptionist.

Health Insurance

A special accident and illness insurance policy is available to all students enrolled at MCC. Enrollment information is provided through a mailing during the summer months or at new student orientation. The basic policy covers illness and accidents occurring in and out of school. Other details are available within the policy information. The college is not liable for personal injuries incurred by students who are in attendance. Students are encouraged to either provide their own coverage or purchase the insurance provided by CCSNH. For more information about the student medical insurance plan designed for MCC students, either contact the college's Office of Admissions (Student Services Center) at (603) 668-6706 ext. 208 or the Richard J. Horan Agency at (800) 327-7567.

Students enrolled in programs in the Department of Human Services must have some form of accident and illness insurance. Information regarding this coverage is available in the Bursar's Office.

All Nursing and Allied Health Students who have a clinical must have accident and illness insurance, as well as professional liability coverage. Information regarding this professional liability coverage is available in the Nursing Department.

All students who wish to participate in intercollegiate athletics must produce evidence of enrollment in an accident insurance policy.

Housing and Living Expenses

The college does not maintain residence halls or assume responsibility for housing. Students are advised to check on campus to see if any information about local housing options have been made available or has been posted. Arrangements and contracts for housing are solely between the student and the landlord.

Lockers

There are a limited number of lockers, which are available to students through the Bursar's Office (Student Services Center, Suite 202). Students must supply the locks and clean out the locker by the end of the spring semester.

The college administration has the authority to search student lockers when, in the administration’s opinion, such a search may benefit the health or welfare of the college community.

MTA Bus Service

The College is a regular stop of the Manchester Transit Authority (MTA). MCC students can ride the bus anywhere in Manchester for free, as long as they show their student ID card.

Parking on Campus

There are designated areas for student parking which are clearly marked as you enter the campus. In order to park in these sections, you must have a student parking permit. This can be obtained at new student orientation or through the Receptionist.

Smoking on Campus

Smoking is not allowed in the buildings or grounds at Manchester Community College, except in designate smoking areas (gazebos in the front and back of the building).

Student Handbook

The Student Handbook is the most thorough guide to life on campus for students. It documents academic and student policies and procedures. Students are expected to read and understand the information in the student handbook.

MCC ID Card

ID cards are issued free to matriculated students. They can be used to access various facilities, borrow material from the Library, and for discounts at area merchants or public facilities. Learn more by visiting the Office of Campus Safety.

Veterans

The Registrar verifies veteran registration two weeks after classes begin. If you have questions about this process, please contact Evelyn Perron in the Registrar's Office. Veterans are responsible for payment of tuition and fees pending the receipt of benefits. Those students needing assistance should contact the Bursar's Office for deferred payment.

Work Study

Students who are interested in working for the college to pay for the tuition expenses can apply for the Federal Work Study Program (FWSP) through the Financial Aid office. It gives students the opportunity to earn money for educational purposes on a part-time basis.
