All accepted students are required to take a math and English placement test in order to register for courses. The Accuplacer is a standardized placement assessment which will enable us to place you into appropriate courses. The exam takes 2 to 3 hours and consists of four parts:
If you have taken the Accuplacer within the past three years, you may not need to take it again. Or, if you have achieved a certain score on the ACT or SAT, you may be eligible for a waiver. Please bring your official scores to the Center for Academic Planning and Support (CAPS), and meet with a counselor. If you have passed college-level English or math at another college or university, you can have these credits evaluated. Bring your official transcripts to CAPS or Office of Admissions.
